Just Listening and Speaking consists of 24 units and pronunciation exercises. Each unit is divided into two sections. In the first section, students practise their listening skills. Topics are varied and include personal information, everyday actions, food and drink, describing a room or an area, telling a story, planning a party and taking part in radio shows.
The second section gives students the opportunity to practise speaking on a topic related to the first section. The activities are carefully graded and build up the role-plays in which students interact with a 'partner' whose lines are recorded on CD.
The pronunciation exercises, all recorded on the CDs, are divided into sounds, stress and intonation and are fully cross referenced with the 24 units.
